They arrived in Australia with only their suitcases. What happened next was extraordinary.

This week, the day finally arrived for our mechanic and his family to land in Australia a journey that began more than a year ago, in June 2025.

As immigrants ourselves, both our clients and we remember what it feels like to arrive in a new country and begin again. We wanted this family to have the best possible start to their new life in Australia.

Our client went above and beyond, assisting with home opens and helping the family secure a rental. We were equally impressed by how thoroughly our candidate researched the process and ensured that all the necessary paperwork was completed.

Because the family would be arriving with only their suitcases, we suggested that they contact No Limits Perth. Nothing could have prepared us for the generosity that followed. Our client, together with members of their church and family, then worked tirelessly to set everything up beautifully before the family arrived.

I thought I might be able to collect a few toys for their young son. Once again, I was completely overwhelmed by the response from my neighbours and the wider Perth community. The generosity was extraordinary.

When the day finally arrived to collect the family from the airport, the moment felt almost too big to take in. Kyla had made a huge banner welcoming them to Australia, and thankfully, we had two cars available to carry all their luggage.

Then came another incredible surprise: our client had arranged a car for our candidate to use for as long as he needs it.

On the way to their new home, we drove via the beach so they could catch their first glimpse of the beautiful place they will now call home.

When we arrived at the house, they were welcomed with home-cooked meals, freshly baked muffins, food in the fridge and essential items in the pantry, all lovingly provided by our client and their family.

This was the first time we have been able to personally welcome and support a candidate in this way, simply because they will be living so close to where we work and live.

To say we felt grateful would be an understatement.

This is what happens when a recruiter, an employer, a charity, family members, neighbours and an entire community come together.

A family does not simply arrive in a new country.

They arrive to warmth, dignity, kindness and the knowledge that they are not alone.
