Speech Pathologist

Graduate & Experienced Speech Pathologists Welcome

Full-Time | Part-Time | Flexible Caseload | Outstanding Career Development

Build the Career You've Always Wanted

Imagine joining a practice where your professional interests matter just as much as your clinical skills.

This is an opportunity to become part of a growing allied health organisation that believes exceptional client outcomes begin with clinicians who feel supported, valued and inspired in their work.

Whether you're starting your career or bringing years of experience, you'll be encouraged to develop your own clinical interests while enjoying genuine flexibility, strong professional support and excellent work-life balance.

If you've been searching for a workplace where you can make a meaningful difference without sacrificing your wellbeing, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Your New Practice

Our client is a well-established allied health provider committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy services to children, adults and families.

The organisation has created a workplace where clinicians are trusted, respected and supported to thrive professionally. You'll work alongside experienced allied health professionals in a collaborative environment where learning is encouraged, achievements are recognised and people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

Rather than simply filling appointment books, the leadership team focuses on creating sustainable careers by providing manageable caseloads, comprehensive administrative support and ongoing professional development.

Your New Role

This is not a "one-size-fits-all" Speech Pathology position.

One of the greatest strengths of this opportunity is the flexibility to build a caseload that aligns with your professional interests and long-term career aspirations.

You will have the freedom to choose whether you would like to work with

  • Primarily paediatric clients
  • Primarily adult clients
  • A balanced combination of both

As your interests evolve, you'll also have the opportunity to further develop specialist expertise in your preferred clinical areas.

Whether your passion lies in early intervention, school-aged children, disability services, adult rehabilitation, neurological conditions, communication disorders, swallowing disorders, literacy, autism, voice or fluency, you'll be encouraged to continue developing your expertise.

Your caseload will be developed collaboratively to ensure it supports both outstanding client outcomes and your own professional satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assessing, diagnosing and managing communication, speech, language, literacy, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders.
  • Developing evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual client goals.
  • Delivering engaging, client-centred therapy services.
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, educators and other healthcare professionals.
  • Preparing assessments, reports and recommendations.
  • Monitoring client progress and reviewing intervention plans.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary case discussions where appropriate.
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Your Profile

You will ideally possess

  • Qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Eligibility for Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Australian working rights.

Graduate Speech Pathologists are warmly encouraged to apply.

The Person We're Looking For

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong written documentation abilities.
  • A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care.

  • A manageable and sustainable caseload.
  • Protected administration time.
  • Individual clinical supervision.

Shape Your Own Career

Unlike many organisations where clinicians are assigned a fixed caseload, this practice believes every Speech Pathologist should have the opportunity to develop a career that reflects their interests.

Whether your long-term goal is becoming an expert clinician, mentoring graduates, expanding into specialist practice or simply enjoying a balanced and rewarding career, you'll be supported every step of the way.

This is an organisation that understands careers are built over years—not months—and invests in its people accordingly.

Location

This opportunity is located within metropolitan Melbourne, offering excellent access to established residential communities, schools, transport and lifestyle amenities while providing the opportunity to enjoy a rewarding allied health career within a supportive clinical environment.
